About Our Service

Our Postnatal Hubs are designed to provide community midwifery-led support for women and babies, for up to six weeks after birth.

We offer scheduled and drop-in midwifery-led appointments, welcoming group sessions providing women with peer support and postnatal education, and women’s health physiotherapy appointments (for up to 6 months post birth).

Opening Hours: Monday – Friday (see times below)

Locations: Primary Care Centres in Celbridge, Newbridge, Tallaght and Clondalkin

About Our Women’s Health
Physiotherapy Service

At our Postnatal Hubs, we help new mothers to rebuild strength, confidence and comfort after birth. Áine, our Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist will support your recovery from birth – whether that’s pelvic floor rehabilitation, core restoration or help easing back and pelvic pain. Physiotherapy support is available through group education and exercise classes, as well as individual appointments. This service is accessible for up to six months postnatally. With expert, compassionate care, we can help you feel strong, empowered and ready for this new chapter of life!

How To Access
Our Postnatal Hubs

Self-Refer: Ph 086 8374748, email postnatalhub@coombe.ie or simply attend a drop-in session.

Health Professional Referral: A referral for a scheduled appointment can also be made for you by any member of the multidisciplinary team at The Coombe Hospital, or via your public health nurse or GP.

Celbridge Primary Care Centre

  • Women’s Health Physiotherapist: 10.30am-1pm

Drop-In Appointments

  • Midwife: 2-3.30pm

  • Group Sessions: 2.00-3.30pm (all welcome – facilitated by midwife and women’s health physiotherapist)

Tallaght Cross Primary Care Centre

  • Appointments:
    All appointments can be directed through Hospital reception: 01 408 5200, 24 hours a day

  • Health Insurance:
    We operate a direct payment scheme with VHI, Laya Healthcare, Irish Life Health, Garda Medical Aid, ESB, Medical Provident Fund, and Prison Officers Medical Aid. If you are covered by any of these insurers, the relevant insurance forms are signed electronically on your admission to hospital.
