About Our Service
The Multiple Birth Clinic provides specialist care for women expecting twins, triplets, or higher-order multiples. Patients receive ongoing hospital care throughout their pregnancy, including regular scans, close monitoring and personalised birth planning. Our experienced team supports both mother and babies, helping manage the unique needs and potential risks of multiple pregnancies to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Care Approach
As multiple pregnancies are considered higher risk, all antenatal appointments take place at the hospital (as opposed to a combined care approach with your GP). You will attend the Ultrasound Department for your scans, and the Multiple Birth Clinic for all your antenatal appointments. You will still attend your GP for vaccinations and non-pregnancy related ailments.

All appointments can be directed through Hospital reception: 01 408 5200, 24 hours a day -
Health Insurance:
We operate a direct payment scheme with VHI, Laya Healthcare, Irish Life Health, Garda Medical Aid, ESB, Medical Provident Fund, and Prison Officers Medical Aid. If you are covered by any of these insurers, the relevant insurance forms are signed electronically on your admission to hospital.
