About Our Service
The EAC is a single-entry point for all emergency / unscheduled admissions to the hospital. Our multidisciplinary team offers expert emergency care in all areas of obstetrics, midwifery and gynaecology.
The EAC is a purpose build unit, with four private treatment rooms and a dedicated triage room. Here we facilitate emergency diagnostic, treatment and management methods to ensure the best possible outcomes in all emergency situations. We liaise closely with all internal hospital departments and specialities in the provision of expert care for all who attend. In more complex cases our team collaborates with our colleagues in our linked general hospital to ensure comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.
We provide a 24-telephone triage service (01 408 5531) where a midwife is available to answer any queries.
