Our visitor car park is open 24/7, and several public transport routes stop right outside. We've provided all the information you need below to ensure your journey is smooth and hassle-free.

Limited car parking is available at The Coombe Hospital. The visitor’s car park is located beside the main hospital building. The car park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Car parking is limited due to building works ongoing at the hospital’s campus, as a result please expect delays and allow extra time to gain entry into the carpark.
There are a small number of paid parking zones in the vicinity of the hospital.

The 56a, 27, 77a, 77n, and 151 all stop outside the hospital. The buses operate from various points in the city centre, and are subject to change from time to time. For bus timetables and departure points, please visit www.dublinbus.ie

The Red Line servicing Tallaght and Connolly Station has two stops within walking distance of the hospital. The Rialto stop and the Fatima stop are around 10-15 minutes walk away. For further information please go to www.luas.ie
Nominated Support Partner

For nominated support persons are from 8.30-21.00.

A nominated support partner may attend all antenatal appointments. Where a woman’s normal nominated partner (e.g. her spouse) is not available to attend a particular appointment, the woman can bring someone else to attend with her to provide support.

Inpatients: Only the nominated partner may visit the wards, except in exceptional circumstances which are decided on an individual basis.

Public Clinic
If you are living and working in Ireland and have the PRSI contributions or you have a medical card you can access free maternity and newborn care.
Semi Private Clinic
The semi-private clinic is a fee based option. Most women who choose this clinic use private health insurance to cover costs. .
Private Clinic
There are a number of consultant obstetricians offering services through our private clinic. Antenatal care fees vary between consultants..

All appointments can be directed through Hospital reception: 01 408 5200, 24 hours a day -
Health Insurance:
We operate a direct payment scheme with VHI, Laya Healthcare, Irish Life Health, Garda Medical Aid, ESB, Medical Provident Fund, and Prison Officers Medical Aid. If you are covered by any of these insurers, the relevant insurance forms are signed electronically on your admission to hospital.
