Conditions Treated
Important to know
✓ We only see babies by appointment either made on discharge or from referrals by GP's or PHN.
✓ We do not have a walk in clinic.
✓ We are not an Emergency department.
✓ If parents do not have an appointment but DO have a concern, we ask that you contact your PHN or GP. If they feel it is necessary they will refer baby to the clinic.
✓ If your baby is sick requiring immediate attention you should bring your baby to your nearest pediatric hospital. We have a range of clinics, each with their own specific appointment schedule, so that our consultants, midwives, physio therapists and other allied health professionals can check babies development or condition.
✓ If your PHN/GP is concerned about feeding or weight gain issues they may refer your baby to us. We can check your babies growth, offer extra feeding advice and generally help you to help your baby at home.
✓ We ask that siblings and other family members are not brought to clinic if possible, to prevent risk of infection to our premature babies.
✓ If you or baby are unwell we request that you reschedule appointments.
✓ If translation services are required we ask that you make staff aware of this when making an appointment.
✓ If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment we ask that you contact the clinic and either reschedule or cancel your appointment.
