GP Referrals

Public referrals to The Coombe Women’s Health Service are received through HEALTHLINK or traditional post.

The Coombe Women's Health Services include:

General Gynaecology
Colposcopy & Cervical Check
Gynaecology Oncology
Outpatient Hysteroscopy
Fertility Service
Urogynaecology & Continence Service
Endoscopy, including Enhanced Endometriosis Clinic
GP-led Gynaecology Clinic
Options in Pregnancy Clinic (Abortion Care Services) referral email options@coombe (checked at 08:00 & 15:00 Mon-Fri).

For queries and advice regarding EMA please call the main hospital on 01 408 5200 and ask to be put through to the Options in Pregnancy phone line and our co-ordinator will call you back.

Validation

Every year we validate the gynaecology waiting list to ensure all those waiting still need an appointment. If we received no response from your patient, we will inform you that they are being removed from the waiting list. If you feel they should remain on the list, please contact us on 01 408 5417 or validation@coombe.ie. If your patients contact details change, please let us know.

Private Care

Private referrals should be addressed to the specific consultant c/o Private Rooms, CWIUH, Cork St, Dublin 8. D08 XW7X

Appointments:
All appointments can be directed through Hospital reception: 01 408 5200, 24 hours a day
Health Insurance:
We operate a direct payment scheme with VHI, Laya Healthcare, Irish Life Health, Garda Medical Aid, ESB, Medical Provident Fund, and Prison Officers Medical Aid. If you are covered by any of these insurers, the relevant insurance forms are signed electronically on your admission to hospital.
