Nutrition and Dietetics

What We Do:

We offer guidance and advice on optimal nutrition for babies, women during pregnancy and also women attending our gynaecology services. We work with the multidisciplinary team to ensure dietary advice is tailored to individual patient needs.

We provide nutrition support and dietary education to both inpatients and outpatients. If you are a patient at the Coombe Hospital and would like a referral to a dietitian, ask your Midwife, Nurse or Doctor to refer you to our services.

The Coombe hospital dietetic team leads and participates in quality improvements, research and audit to continuously improve our services. We apply the science of nutrition and medicine, combined with knowledge of food and culture to optimise health of our patients. Our dietitians are university-trained and are registered health care professionals with CORU.

Please see our new online antenatal videos below for advice on eating well during pregnancy.
