Women’s Health
The Coombe Hospital provides the largest and most comprehensive Gynaecology Surgical Service in the country.
Referral to our Women’s Health Services is by your GP or through a specialist service in another hospital.
These referrals are processed by our Central Appointment Team.

Our gynaecology clinics take place Monday - Friday in the main Outpatients Department and in the Women's Health Unit.
Our Women’s Health Unit is located at the back of the hospital, this unit is accessible via the main hospital.
Did Not Attend Policy
In order to maximise capacity and see everyone in the shortest time frame possible, we operate a strict ‘did not attend’ policy, in line with the national HSE policy. If you do not attend (DNA) your appointment, you will be removed from our waiting list and discharged back to your GP.
Cancelling and Rescheduling Your Appointment
If you have a Gynaecology or Women’s Health appointment that you wish to cancel, please call the cancellation line on 01 408 5495. As this line takes messages only, you will not be speaking to a telephone operator. You need to have the following information ready:

DATE OF APPOINTMENT YOU WISH TO CANCEL
In the interest of fairness to all patients, please note that you can only cancel and re-schedule your appointment once. You must give 48 hours notice so that we can give your slot to the next patient on the waiting list.
