General Information

Dublin’s Coombe Women’s Hospital is one of the busiest of its kind in Ireland (>7,000 births annually) and specialises in the care of women, babies and their extended families. The Coombe Women’s Hospital is a national referral centre for women and babies and aims to:

• Provide the highest quality of womens healthcare, including care of new-born babies.
• Promote staff excellence.
• Provide leadership in professional training and academic research.
• Act as a resource for information on healthcare.

The hospital is attached to three medical schools, University College Dublin, Trinity College and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. The School of Midwifery is attached to U.C.D.
