  • NAME

In the interest of fairness to all patients, please note that you can only cancel and re-schedule your appointment once. You must give 48 hours notice so that we can give your slot to the next patient on the waiting list.

If you DO NOT ATTEND your appointment, you WILL BE REMOVED from the waiting list and referred back to your GP. If you have a general query regarding your appointment, please call (01) 408 5562.

A Pre-operative Anaesthetic Clinic was established for women scheduled for major surgery, particularly for those with additional medical conditions. This has greatly facilitated same-day admission. We have extended this clinic to include ALL women who are having surgery. The Anaesthetic Clinic saves time for both women and the hospital, ensuring that women are fit and ready for their surgery, and avoids delay on the day.

Information about your day of surgery:

On the morning of surgery, we ask that your report to the Admissions Office on the ground floor of the main hospital building.

  • Women attending for day case surgery, who are not staying overnight, should arrive between 07:00 - 07:20am
  • Women attending for surgery, and staying for one or more nights, should arrive between 08:00-08:20am
  • Click on the link  day case or  overnight stay  for the list of instructions to smooth your admission to hospital.
