Neonatal Support Group

If your baby has had to stay in our Neonatal Centre, you may be worried about how you are going to cope when you bring baby home. Help is at hand with support and advice from the Neonatal Support Group, which was set up by staff in the hospital to help patients.

Meet other parents like you

Parents, whose baby has had to be cared for in the Neonatal Centre, can meet other parents who have been through the same experience on the second Saturday of every month, from 11am to 1pm. The group meets in the hospital's Outpatient Baby Clinic. On hand will be members of staff to answer your questions on your baby's development.

Issues covered are many and varied. They range from asking if baby's development will be affected because of a premature birth, to what is baby's real age. When to start feeding baby solids is another question most parents ask. For some parents feeling low can be a source of concern.

Over a cup of tea, these questions, and more, can be answered and re-assurance given to you.
