Hygiene, Infection Prevention & Control

We are working hard to protect you from infection and there are ways you can help us too. We take infection, prevention and control very seriously to make sure we are giving our patients the best possible care in the best possible environment.

Help us fight infection

Hand hygiene is the most important way of preventing the spread of infection. Always wash your hands with soap and water after using the toilet facilities.

Before you enter or leave a ward or clinical area, please clean your hands using the alchohol gel rub from one of the wall mounted dispensers.

Do not visit someone in the hospital if you are suffering or recovering from an infectious illness.

If you have children who wish to visit Mum in hospital, please ensure that they are not brought in if they are suffering or recovering from the same illness. Tell your firends and relatives too.
